Title: Why Him and Not Me

~ The days that followed seemed to be the most meaningless in his life. Myolie's words kept replaying in his head, while pricking his heart like a sharp needle. Unable to stand it anymore, Bosco goes to Myolie's house. He hears laughter at her door. But as soon as she answers and sees Bosco, her smile disappears.

"Hi. Can I come in and talk?" Bosco asks uncomfortably. He was struggling very hard to keep from reaching out and embracing Myolie.

"Yes. I have to tell you something too. Come in." She replies. Bosco holds on to the one small sliver of hope that Myolie will tell him what happened the other day was only a joke. But when Bosco steps in, he sees a man sitting on the loveseat. Myoile's loveseat. His loveseat. He scowls.

"Who are you?"

"This is Ron, my fiancee." Myolie answers.

Once again Bosco is speechless. "What?"

Ron stands up and puts his arm around Myolie. "Pleased to meet you." Ron says. Bosco sees the smirk on his face.

Suddenly the rage inside Bosco reaches boiling point. He gives Ron a hard blow in the face. Ron stumbles backwards. He cover his nose with his hands but blood was seeping through. Bosco was about to hit him again when Myolie steps in front of Ron protectively.

"Stop it." Her voice is shaky and tears are forming on the brim of her eyes. Bosco draws back with a look of hurt.

"I really don't understand. Why him and not me? I know you have a reason. What did he do to you? Did he - "

"Shut up!" Myolie slaps him. "Get out! I never want to see you again!."

"Fine! I don't want to see you either!" Bosco storms out of the house, with one side of his face a burning red mark.

Myolie turns to Ron. "So sorry."

"Uh, it's okay. I think I better leave. See ya." Ron walks out of the room, clicking the door shut behind him.

Myolie falls to the floor crying.
