Leila walked down the hallway, leaning on the post, her face draped with tears and her head full of thoughts, thinking that Bosco will never love her again.

"Bernice, where have you been? I came back and you weren't there, nobody knew where you've went," the stranger scolded her, supporting her back to her room.

"Who are you," Leila finally asked the stranger.

He let go of her and looked at her peculiarly. "You don't remember? Have you lost your memory?" he asked, failing to cover up his glint of joy in his eyes.

"I guess, only a little. I know where I am and what my name is, just not the rest," Leila admitted.

"Don't worry then, I'll be more than happy to fill you in," he assured her, continuing their walk back to the room.

The stranger tucked Leila back into bed and sat down beside her.

"You're Bernice Liu, daughter of Mr. Liu who owns the One Card Company. Your father died a few weeks back and he gave you 15 percent of it and 40 percent of his fortune," he informed her.

"Is that it? Her father must not love her very much, or maybe she’s not that bright," thought Leila.

"I'm Moses Chan, your cousin, his nephew," he finished off.

"What about my mother?" Leila wondered.

"Oh, she died a few years ago, she was a lovely woman," he said.

"Am I in any relationship at the moment?" she asked. "Obviously not, since that person isn't here or she's in a really appalling one," she thought.

"No, you were more of a private isolated type of person. I got to go now; it's time for me to go back to the company. Go to sleep," he said, standing up and turning.

Leila quickly gave a thought and spoke out, "Will you be taking care of me when I get out?"

Moses stopped in his tracks and turned, smiling gleefully, "You don't know how long I've been waiting for you to say that. Of course I'll take care of you." With that, he left Leila laying there, bewildered on why he said that.

Leila's body was taken to the morgue (is that the place where they keep dead people?). Ron left Bosco and Jacky to go to work.

"Dad, where did they take mummy? How is she supposed to breathe when they zipped her up in that black bag? I want my mummy," Jacky spilled out a mouthful.

"They're taking mummy to the doctor and they put her in that bag so no germs will get to her. While the doctor is taking care of her, I'll be your mummy from now on, okay Jacky?" Bosco offered.

"You can't be my mummy, you're a man, unless you want to be gay," Jacky giggled.

"Jacky, where did you learn that word," Bosco asked taken aback.

"At day care, I heard one of my friends use it and he said that it meant boys who wish they were girls," Jacky explained.

"I'm not letting you go there anymore; kids these days have the guts to use all of these bad words. My poor Jacky," he sighed.

They walked past Leila's room, chattering cheerfully. She couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous and hurt. Did they forget her already? But it was good, since they don't have to bury themselves in sorrow that they're mummy and wife is gone.

Jacky looked into the room and saw Leila laying there staring at them. He looked confused for a moment, then shook off Bosco's hand and ran into the room. He jumped on the chair and squealed happily.

"Hey Jacky," Leila gently greeted.

"Mummy, I thought you were supposed to be afraid of germs, why aren't you in that big black bag? And the doctor was going to take care of you, where is he?" Jacky asked, looking around.

"Big black bag? Afraid of germs?" Leila asked. "Bosco, what is he filling my son's mind with!" she thought angrily.

Bosco walked in and took hold of Jacky by the stomach. "Sorry, my son's really being a nuisance to you," Bosco apologised, while carrying out Jacky who was wailing for his mother.

"Wait a minute," Leila called out, after having a bit quick thinking.

Bosco stopped in his steps and looked at her. "Yes," he asked.

"Well, if Jacky here thinks that I'm his mother, then why can't I pretend to be? It's better than disappoint him?" Leila suggested.

Bosco smiled at that proposal and opened his mouth, "I'm sorry, I'll have to decline. I don't want Jacky to forget who his real mother is." Bosco proceeded to walk out the door.

Leila looked at his back and yearned that he would’ve said yes. But if he did, it would have meant that she could be replaced by anyone who Jacky calls mummy. She didn’t know what she wanted anymore.

I have a nice idea, Loan. in chapter 4, Moses hit Bosco and then exchange bodies, so he and Leila can be 2gether. Then they adopt jacky. hehe happy ending ^_^
