"Damn I should have stayed at home," Leila cursed, sitting down on the curb before she falls.

She rubbed her temples, counter clockwise, massaging it thoroughly. Then she heard a deafening sound of tyres, which made her scream in shock and terror. It slammed into her, which immediately made her mute.

Everything was black. Leila felt strangely light and feathery. A light appeared in front of her and blinded her. She shielded her eyes with her hands and saw a man with a parchment, standing in front of extremely large golden gates.

"Bernice Liu," he called out. The lady that just hit into her glided towards him and seeped through the gates. He noticed a person bouncing around insecurely. He looked at Leila oddly, and then he searched his through his scroll.

"Why, who may you be?" he asked Leila.

"Leila Tong," she answered. "Hey, aren't you Saint Peter and does this just happens to be heaven?"

The man skimmed through his scroll again and he looked up at Leila, giving her a puzzling look. "Leila, you're not on here. I don't think you're time is up, but you came out of your shell, which means that it is ready to be disposed of. This does not make any sense."

"So, am I stuck out here? Since I have no where to go, do I just float around here aimlessly?" Leila wondered.

"I'm not sure about that; oh wait, someone would like to meet you," the man said politely, giving directions with his hand. The gate suddenly opened swiftly and she entered.
As she went in, she saw that everyone was not wearing any clothes. She covered her eyes quickly and then slowly spread her fingers apart. "There's nothing I haven't seen right?" she thought to herself.

A wind came blowing fiercely at her, she squinted to see what the cause of it was and she got a face full of feathers.

"I'm so sorry, my feathers have been moulting," a beautiful maiden said, gently sweeping away the feathers off her face. "Hi, I'm Tavia, an angel," she greeted Leila, holding out her hands.

"I'm Leila, and er, I moult too, in winter," she greeted back.

"Okay, good information; well, I'm a messenger and I'm here to tell you that your body will be taken care of and that you are to start a new life on earth in other person's body. Apparently, you're not ready to be up here yet since you haven't experienced love and you haven't done anything extremely bad to end up in…down there. So, you're going back down to earth in Bernice's body because the weird thing is, her body is still remote, but her time is up and your body can't be used anymore but your time isn't up. Do you understand? Well, I have to go now and I hope to see you soon! Er, not that I want you to die early...I have to go now, bye," Tavia quickly ended the conversation and flew away.

Leila, suddenly felt a pull and fell down. She was expecting a smack on the bum, but it never came. She kept falling for quite some time, so she laid back to watch the view. She looked at the angels playing on the clouds, making them change shapes so the children below can guess what they form. She fell through the misty fog, formed by the angel's breath. Then she realised, that the sun was actually the golden gates of heaven. "How convenient," she thought.

Then something was sucking her, making Leila descend faster towards earth. Then BAM, she finally hit the ground.

She can't seem to open her eyes, but it seems like there was a doctor and and a man was in the room.

"Miss. Liu's head must have impacted on the steering wheel which caused her skull some serious damage," the doctor informed the man.

"Why didn't you put on your seatbelt," the man scolded Leila as his hands reached out to caress hers.

She opened her eyes and saw a stranger sitting beside her. The man gave her a huge smile. "Bernice, you're alive," he happily roared. "The doctor said that you were dead," he explained.

"Dead," Leila whispered. Then she thought of Bosco, Jacky and Ron. "They must be terribly sad since they think I'm gone."

"This is impossible; you were supposed to have died. Must be some sort of miracle," the doctor said, shocked. He checked her and said, "We're going to keep you here a few days, just in case," and then he said to the stranger, "If you would follow Elliot, she will take you to do the paperwork."

The stranger and the nurse left the room and the doctor was also about to leave when Leila quickly stopped him.

"Doctor," Leila called out, "What happened to the family of the girl that just got hit by a car?"

He hesitated for a while, thinking of whom she might be asking of, then sighed, "She died a few hours ago, and her family is probably still in there."

"Can you take me there?" Leila requested.

The doctor was shocked at how she can take this news so calmly and not surprised about it. "Of course," he answered.

Leila and the doctor looked through the window of the dead girl's room. Bosco was holding her hand sobbing and Jacky was on his lap weeping with his head buried in Bosco's chest. Ron was standing behind them, soothingly patting Bosco's shoulder.

Leila sniffed at that scene and tears started to travel down her face. She yearned to tell them that she was still alive but in another person's body at that moment. But they wouldn't believe her. Who would?

Leila walked into the room, holding onto her stand for support. Everyone turned to look at her. Suddenly Jacky jumped off Bosco's lap and ran to Leila. "Mummy, I thought you left me," he sobbed as he took hold of her leg.

She warmly smiled at her son and bent down to hug him. She knew that she had to tell him reality's facts. "I'm sorry honey, but I'm not your mother."

Jacky pouted sadly, "Mummy doesn't want me. Mummy hates me, she hates me." He started to wail and stamp his feet.

Bosco got out of his seat and went to gather Jacky into his arms. "I'm sorry, but his mother just died. It's strange that he thought you were his mother. Probably it's because he doesn't want to face the truth," he sadly explained. He walked back to his seat and resumed his earlier frame.

Ron started to walk towards her. He examined her face and then realised something. "Aren't you the person that caused Leila's death? I saw you in that room when your cousin apologised to me."

Bosco looked over and so did Jacky. "Mummy can't kill Mummy, stupid Uncle Ron," Jacky exclaimed.

"Watch your language Jacky," Bosco scolded, pinching his arm a little. Then he looked over to Leila again and said, "I think it's best if you left us alone."

Leila couldn't help but feel a bit of rejection. She hated heaven for doing this to her. Put her back on earth in her own murder's body? Outrageous!

She walked out of the room and down the hallway. I can't get Bosco to love me again, she thought, I might as well try to learn to live without him. I just hope that Jacky and Bosco won't be too harsh on themselves because of me.

I don't think its weird for other girls to say that they are "hot" but i think its weird saying i love you to people...like your friends of the same sex. I don't know...people always say i love you to me as a joke or whatever and i'm always like uhhh yeah same here.
