I thought it might be best to start a new thread because it was getting off topic in the other thread. I wasn't sure where to post it cuz I wasn't able to start a new topic in the other sections, so I just started one here. hope it's okay. lol

Anyways, so are we really getting together and recording this song? If so, which song(s) should we pick? we have plenty of time to make changes since we're not rushing it for the Malaysia event.

getting together sounds great to me! i bet it'd be a LOT of fun!!! hehehe. it was a shame that we ALL could have met much earlier at the ray meeting. :P

So I guess for now it's after Sept. 5. I think that we should all practice a few times before actually recording it. haha it'll be a lot of fun, just a bunch of crazy girls singing off-key (I know I will!)

First of all, it seems like most ppl don't mind doing it after Sept 5, as long as it's on weekends - so I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU! :hug: B/c now I can participate!

As for Ideas: I was thinking, Bosco has a couple of songs out...so how about we try and do all of them? There's quite a number of us anyway..and some ppl who want do can do more than one (if there's more space)

1) ARS themesong (yes...first one to come to to my mind b/c I KEEP listening to it!)
2) Put Your Hands Up
3) WOIL themesong
4) Na Zha song
5) Greek Myth Song
#4 & #5 are a bit harder to sing..but we could try and see what happens...
I remember him singing Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Jordan Chan's song at some functions too, so we can even add those in if we want.

And if more than one person wants to sing a song/part, then they can either decide amongst themselves...or do a draw??

Ellen! That's a really great idea! I'm up for it! ^^ But I have to know what song I am singing waaaaaaaaaay before hand so I can learn the words! (by using english pronounciations! hahaha...) cause my chinese is really bad! and I usually mix words up! :P Unless we sing in groups!! :D

super vivi: don't worry, me too! I can barely read Chinese so when I listen to songs, I have to listen and think about English translations! Don't worry! And since we're not rushing for this coming function, we DO have some time.

Yeah, for the ppl who are comfortable with singing in groups mroe, they should sing in groups. If some ppl are ok with signing solo, then they can sing solo - unless SO many people want to sing solo. In that case, I propose that we divide up the song into verses...the person #1 can sing Verse #1, person #2 sing Verse #2, then they can sing chorus together! How's that sound?

As for which songs I like...ARS, Put your Hands Up and WOIL are all good with me..but I have a feeling that's what everyone is going to like. We can see what the others think and then decide on a fair way to do it!

Since I suck at singing, I'd probably prefer to do groups. Except maybe the rap parts in the WOIL theme. Those are probably done easier as a single person.

My choice? Put Your Hands Up, WOIL theme, ARS theme :)

I think we should meet a bit later then the 1st week of September b/c a lot of ppl will be just starting job/school - do they need that weekend to settle in??

so are we doing it at karaoke? i know a great karaoke place but it's kinda very far (richmond hill). lol. you pay $7.99, 3 hrs, ALL YOU CAN EAT foods (or 4 hours with 2 drinks). very new songs :P
