Kate Pleased To See Warehoused Series AirA promotional event was held yesterday to mark the airing of TVB series The Price Of Greed <千謊百計> on Pay Vision's drama channel from next week. Leading cast members Kate Tsui (徐子珊), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Shirley Yeung (楊思琦) and Vivien Yeo (楊秀惠) appeared in their 1920's costumes for the event. The other male lead Sammul Chan (陳鍵鋒) did not attend.
The series was filmed in 2005 and despite being released to the overseas rental market, it was then warehoused and the cast had almost given up hope of it ever being aired to the Hong Kong audience. As this was Kate's first series as a main lead, she was very pleased that the series is finally making it onto the screens for the local viewers and she said that this was a good omen for 2008.
Shirley played a mute girl in the series and smiled that she seems to have an affinity with playing roles where she has a disability. However, these experienced have helped her to realise how precious and fortunate it is to be in good health. Asked if she will play a mentally disabled person, she said that she has never tried this and would like to try many different roles.
For New Years Eve, Shirley will be taking part in a countdown event, where she will be dancing with Stephen Wong (黃長興).
Bosco laughed that the clash of schedules means he has two series being aired at the same time, so he is going into competition with himself, but this is not so bad because he has not had a series aired for a while, so it is a good opportunity to take over the airwaves for a while.
