I know I sound stupid. But where is Atlantic City? I have no clue where all the places in the States are. Is it in New York? nearby New York or what?

my0t1 - April 27, 2007 09:33 PM (GMT)
Oh ... thanx Snowy for sharing the clip with us. So looking forward to seeing this clip.

Atlantic City is actually in Southern New Jersey... so ppl, don't fly to NYC la...haha

It's about 2-3 hours from NYC... usually, concerts tickets come with option to purchase discount casino coach fare that depart form big cities like New York, Philly, and DC. If concerts are held, casino coaches allow minors to ride.

Most HK concerts/shows are held at Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza, or Casear Palace but sometimes they hold small shows at other casinos as well. And usually, it's convienently held on weekends. Depending on the number of shows (most singers hold 2, but TV stars sometimes only hold one show) it may be in the afternoon, like 1pm-ish; and in the middle of the nite, like 1am-ish; sometimes (but rarely) they have a 3rd show in the evening. In cases of just one show, they may pick 1am, cuz it accommodates more ppl to go after work and return before the next morning.

Like in the past, I always leave NY around 8-9pm Saturday nite and get there around midnight, watch the 1-2am show, catch the 5am coach back to NY and head for work on Sunday morning (when I used to work weekends).

GeLiGuoLu - April 27, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
Oh... it's probably way too early for ticket sales... but if anyone finds out which casino, I could call to ask for group ticket sales and try to get all of us to sit together (depending on your preferred price range) ... or if the fanclub makes arrangement to reserve through the production company, even better.

heavenswtluv - April 28, 2007 12:34 AM (GMT)
Vee: Like GeLiGuoLu said.. it is probably held on weekends.. for concerts.. they have it saturday.. 1 am (basically sunday morning) and then one around 3pm sunday.. i hope u can come girley

Candy: yes, at least you know it should be during the first week of august.. from where you are to here.. straight flight is about 7 hours right? would u need to stay in AC after the show for a night before going home?

Mandy: where are you coming from? Will you be flying? I think there is an airport at AC, called Atlantic City International Airport... I am guessing Bosco might land there?

Well, like GeLiGuoLu said.. if you girls/guys kinda know what you want to do about the show's tickets.. then both GeLiGuoLu and I can help call.. they should have tickets being sold in NYC Chinatown, etc.

so excited.!!!!! :yea: :yea: :yea:

lilbebegrl - April 28, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
YAY! its in august might be there on that day!! whoopee!

Snowy - April 28, 2007 02:05 AM (GMT)
Hi folks,

This is what I would advise....whatever arrangement you are organising or planning now....pls do not pay up for the trip yet as you know events and functions changes could be done any time last minute.......I know the event is confirm but like Tina said, there will be visa application process and other administration approval therefore please ensure you do not pay up anything to confirm your trip yet but tentative booking is fine.....I will definitely follow-up nearer to the date with Tina on this event to advise all of you.....

The reason for my request for Bosco to leave a message for all of you becos I noticed how excited you are and hope Bosco shares with you guys his equal excitement to meet all of you.....and he did.....however in his message...he did mention his trip to Atlantic City is still tentative....just like I mention above they will never commit so early in advance......

Hope all of you understand.....and thanks GL for the additional information.....

Thanks for the info girls! although it's all just in the talks...and nothing is 100% confirmed, it's fun to talk about it.

GL: which concerts have you gone to? I'm just curious. it's always fun to hear about concerts! =D

yah, I wouldn't confirm anything else until I've purchased the ticket (IF I'm going to the show). it's pretty easy to get airline tickets close to the actual date, right?

haha... many... been to Leon's, Aaron's, Andy's, and Hacken's at least twice each... usually dun miss them unless really can't make it. Other stars like Jacky Cheung, Andy Hui, F4, and a lot of not so famous singers. Past 2 years since I started working fulltime, haven't been going to concerts.

:bawl: missed Leon's last tour

the good thing is there's never really a rush to book anything for AC if u'r in Northeast. cuz u could prob get train or coach ticket at last minute... and well, AC is all hotels

New Yorkers even more so, cuz casino coaches are abundant... and the few times I didn't book a hotel, I just "hea" in the lobby or on the beach until dawn....(not that I recommend anyone to do so, that's just me, cuz I was a college cheapskate )

heavenswtluv - April 28, 2007 03:55 AM (GMT)
Canadians should go straight to AC.. if they are flying .. etc.. that way they don't have to make a stop.. at NYC..

as for the New Yorkers... can gather up in NYC and head out to AC together.. since there are plenty of cheap bus tickets. keke

as for others who may be coming from the west coast.. or elsewhere. i suggest flying straight to AC's airport..
'
We can all still go as a group.. i just thought it would save everyone time and money.. in the end we can all meet up at AC a couple hours before the event.. u know -=)

what do you think?

U saw so many!! =D

is Aaron stopping by AC this May?! he's having the 2nd tour of sth and he's coming back to Toronto next month. I saw him the first time he did the tour in 2005, but i wouldn't mind seeing him aagain! =D

oooh yes, Jacky Cheung is one guy's concert I wouldn't miss!! he's the best HK singer!! I'm glad I got to see his concert before he retires!

=P I say the New Yorkers bring us sightseeing for a bit if we do go on the trip!! heehee

wrainebow - April 28, 2007 04:17 AM (GMT)
I can't go :bawl: T^T :collapse: :rain: I'm not happy but my mom won't let me go because she doesn't know anyone who will go with me and blah blah blah. I'm an only child and she is the most protective mother in the world. sometimes it sucks but at least she cares about me
lol

heavenswtluv - April 28, 2007 04:23 AM (GMT)
true true.. we could meet up in Nyc.. we can check out guys. go shopping.. hehe..

wrainebow: hey dont be sad.. when u finish school.. u can go on vacation.. just keep it in mind.. ur mommy just worry about u.. and its very understandable since u live far.. !!

sasuna - April 28, 2007 02:02 PM (GMT)
Have a fun trip!

(I wish I could go Y___Y) Can't fly to the States on my own. XD

Mandy - April 28, 2007 10:07 PM (GMT)
GL>> Are the tickets usually expensive? I remember when some HK singers came over to Holland the tickets are like 3 times more expensive then normal concerts from english or american singers/bands.

heavenswtluv>> Im from Holland. I didn't say I was coming. But now all you girls talking about this, makes me wanna go too. It's not that because of Bosco is going to Atlantic City, but it's just...I've always wanted to go to New York. I really wish to visit New York someday. I just can't find any mates here in Holland who has the time and money to go with me :( well... flying on my own is not a big deal, but it's scary when you're on your own in a big city you've never been b4. I will so get lost haha

hmmm.......I think I will think about it. :hmm: It's WAY to early for me to decide it now lol.

so tell me...how many people on this board has already decided to go to AC?

heavenswtluv - April 28, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
Mandy: Holland sounds like a nice place too.. is it fun over where you at? New York City is very busy and crowded.. so I think you would have fun here if you knew people here or if you had friends going with you.. but even if you go visit NY on your own one day.. I think you will find lots of things to do and you do speak English.. so you don't have to worry -=)

It is early...hopefully the exact date will be confirmed in the next month or so.. so everyone can decide then.. right? :keke:

Mandy - April 29, 2007 08:02 AM (GMT)
No, Holland is B.O.R.I.N.G :keke:
and my english is not as good as you think . We never use english in Holland. Only learned that at college/high school. I can write better than speak in english.
